VISA AND MASTERCARD FRAUD ALERT AND IMPORTANT REMINDER RE: SCAMS

There are currently numerous credit and debit card, and other financial scams happening, so please follow these guidelinse if you receive a call or email regarding fraud on your card or requesting social security or account numbers.

NEVER give ANY card information over the phone, especially your 3-digit security code on the back of the card.  A valid fraud department call from VISA or MASTERCARD already has all the information on your card.  They usually ask for only the last 4-digits of your social security number and whether or not you made certain purchases.

AND REMEMBER: Account numbers OR Social Security numbers are NEVER solicited by CTFCU employees by phone or e-mail, so never provide this information to anyone who calls or e-mails you.
